Outreach is provided to the home of the program participant for enrollment, assessment, health education, and individual mentoring and emotional support. These visits are generally conducted once a week for each participant. These visits allow the outreach workers to keep abreast of the participants progress during pregnancy and to offer any necessary help in getting to her appointments or addressing family issues.
